13 May, 21

More than 120 attendees from 60 different companies have confirmed their participation at the ITT Hub Exhibitor Preview Day taking place at Farnborough on Wednesday 19th May.

With six weeks to go until the doors open on the first ITT Hub, the Preview Day will include site tours and detailed briefing about the exciting plans for this summer’s event. Attendees will receive updates on Ride & Drive arrangements together with the protocols and systems in place for social distancing for visitors and exhibitors on 30th June and 1st July.

The highlight of the day’s programme is a one-hour long business seminar for all attendees which will be recorded in front of an interactive audience, ahead of its broadcast as a webinar on Friday 21st May. The session will be the third in the series to date titled ‘Decarbonisation Plan – Opportunities for Collaboration‘.

Chaired by Leon Daniels OBE, the panel will discuss how suppliers, fleet operators, funders and energy providers can work together in finding clean air solutions in our everyday business life. The guest panellists are:

• Caroline Low CBE, Director (job-share) Environment and Future Mobility, UK’s Department for Transport
• David Wells, Chief Executive, Logistics UK
• Victoria Whitehead, Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure and Transport, Lloyds Banking Group

The programme concludes with an industry networking lunch, media interviews and filming for the marketing campaign. Announcements for the 2022 event and development strategy will also be unveiled.

The Preview Day will also include news about The EV Café at ITT Hub – the first time the online group will have appeared together in public.

Commenting on the announcement, Mark Griffin, CEO of Binswood Media, organisers of the event said: “We are extremely excited at the level of interest. The mood of optimism in the last four weeks has been pretty remarkable with increased levels of engagement and enthusiasm to support our inaugural event, the very first in the transport sector for over 18 months.

“This is clear evidence that business events are back for good. Spookily, we now have two ITT Hub events which will be face-to-face to delivery over the next six weeks. The whole team is working tirelessly to give the sector something new, innovative and interactive to get involved with. We are proud to be playing a role in getting the events industry back on its feet. Next week gives us an opportunity to support our customers with everything they need when they reconnect with the market this summer.”

With seven weeks to go the organisers report ongoing demand for stand space with around 150 companies taking part including The AA, Harris Maxus, Schmitz Cargo Bull, Sunamp and Vattenfall Network Solutions who have joined as exhibitors.

ITT Hub 2021 including the Future Logistics Conference organised by Logistics UK takes place on Wednesday 30th June and Thursday 1st July at Farnborough International. British astronaut Major Tim Peake CMG set to open the event. Free car parking is available onsite and a free shuttle bus service from the railway station is provided.
