The exclusive ‘Globe Getter’ pendant designed to save our oceans from Covid mask pollution

To support World Earth Day 2021, new online jewellery retailer, Sophia Valentine, has designed an exclusive collection made from 100% recyclable materials.

Launching just this week, Sophia Valentine is on a mission to inspire women across the world to buy sustainable jewellery, including recycled gold, silver, ethically sourced gemstones and lab grown diamonds.

This year’s World Earth Day theme is ‘Restore Our Earth’ which focuses on the urgent need to reduce our impact on the planet as we recover from the effects of Covid-19 and repairing the damage we’ve done.

As a result of the virus, disposable face masks have become a staple accessory to help keep us safe. However, new research suggests that over 1.5 billion masks entered our oceans last year, creating a new global pollution problem and causing further damage to the environment.

To help tackle the issue, Sophia Valentine is giving 100% of net profits from the Globe Getter collection to Ocean Generation, a registered charity fighting to tackle plastic pollution and clean up the oceans.

Everything you need to know about the Globe Getter pendant

Handcrafted by Sophia Valentine’s leading jeweller, the Globe Getter pendant is a unique piece of jewellery, designed to keep the earth close to your heart.

Made with 35g of recycled 9ct gold, 0.30ct lab created green emeralds, and ethically sourced Lapis Lazuli – a gemstone representing self-awareness, honesty, and compassion – the Globe Getter pendant symbolises ultimate passion for our planet, with 100% of profits going to Ocean Generation.

After chatting to our designers, the beautiful pendant can be personalised to suit you. If you want to have it engraved, or prefer the design in recycled silver, we can make that happen.

Down to Earth necklace

Alongside the iconic Globe Getter pendant, the collection also includes the Down to Earth necklace for those who want to contribute to the cause, but don’t have the budget for an investment piece.

The Down to Earth pendant is made from recycled 18ct yellow plated gold, with a simplistic design, ideal for everyday wear. As with our Globe Getter pendant, the profits from this piece will also go to our chosen charity.

About Sophia Valentine

For those looking for a totally unique item, designers at Sophia Valentine will also be on hand to create unique pieces in one of the UK based workshops, generating sketches and 3D renders before you commit.
