Russell Roof Tiles were proud to supply sustainable and long-lasting concrete roof tiles to support the vital re-roofing of a social housing project in East Ayrshire, Scotland.

The significant upgrade project has been delivered by A.C. Whyte, who are an energy efficiency contractor in the major refurbishment of social housing for Local Authorities and Housing Associations across Scotland and the UK, and most recently for East Ayrshire Council.

The project comprises of re-roofing, rendering, and upgrading around 240 houses in the East Ayrshire area.

Russell Roof Tiles was keen to support this social housing project which has benefitted the local community, having supplied its Double Roman tiles in Slate Grey and Terracotta.

The Double Roman tile forms part of the Russell Roof Tiles’ Commercial Range of products and is a standard profile roof tile with a small round roll. The tile provides excellent thermal insulation from heat, especially in the summer months and works against snow, ice accumulation and helps retain heat during colder weather.

Concrete tiles replicate the appearance of natural looking roof tiles with the benefits of offering greater strength, while modern manufacturing methods deliver a technically consistent and quality product for the developer.
