Hyperfast Broadband Provider Grain Connect To Partner With Innovative Property Developer This Land™ On Sustainable Future Projects.

6 December, 19

Grain Connect, the hyperfast broadband provider, is set to partner with This Land™, an innovative new housing developer, on future schemes across Cambridgeshire. Offering one gigabit full-fibre broadband, the first project to benefit will be a sustainable development of 53 homes in the popular village of Over near Cambridge, one of the fastest growing city economies in the UK.

The partnership deal will see Grain deliver a hyperfast congestion-free connection to This Land’s™ design-led developments. Grain also expects to offer the same level of connection to neighbouring homes, hospitals and schools outside of the development, working closely with the local community to improve connectivity. Focused on creating sustainable neighbourhoods, This Land™ plans to develop around 1,600 new homes within the next five years. The developments are designed to complement the local environment and bring tangible benefits to existing communities.

This Land’s™ funding model is unique from other housing developers. With its sole shareholder being Cambridgeshire County Council, the revenue that is returned to the Council supports the delivery of vital front-line services.

Rich Robinson, Managing Director of Grain Connect, said of the collaboration:

“We’re very excited to be announcing our partnership with This Land™ and our commitment to supply full fibre, hyperfast broadband to their developments in Cambridgeshire. They match our sustainable ethos, and we can’t wait to start working with them.”

Dave Gelling, Managing Director at This Land™ commented:

“We are delighted to have partnered with Grain to ensure our sites have state-of-the-art, hyperfast fibre optic broadband. This Land’s™ focus is on providing design-led homes and vibrant neighbourhoods for the benefit of both residents and the local community. Because we are committed to delivering developments of the highest quality, we think that our customers deserve the highest quality broadband too.”

The partnership between Grain Connect and This Land™ reflects a common sustainability drive, as both companies promote sustainable deliverability techniques, and make conscious efforts to reduce plastic consumption and waste.
