Dura Products partners with Hauraton to distribute sustainable CKD systems in 19 new countries

Green construction innovators Dura Products has expanded its sales and distribution partnership with Hauraton, the surface water management specialists, to service 19 new countries around the world.

The new partnership with parent company Hauraton GmbH in Germany, follows the success of a similar arrangement with Hauraton UK, based in Dunstable, which was appointed one of Dura Products’ first national stockists in 2019. Exclusively branded as KERBFIX, the system has become Hauraton UK’s premier Combined Kerb & Drainage (CKD) solution.

As with the UK partnership, Duradrain will be promoted within Hauraton GmbH’s RECYFIX range as a sustainable CKD solution. The first full truck of standard units (1.144km) has already been despatched from the production facility in Romania to Hauraton’s Distribution Hub in Halasztelek, Hungary.

Over the last 30 years in the UK and Ireland, CKD has become a preferred method of surface water collection as it can drain more quickly, more safely and bring simplicity to overall road and pavement design. It is also more cost-effective thanks to having both the drainage and landscape function within one product and one install process.

Since 2002, CKD systems have been incorporated within a Harmonised European Standard, increasing its appeal in Mainland Europe and further afield.

Steve Bennett, Managing Director of Dura Products commented: “As a group, Hauraton GmbH has vast experience and successfully operates in many countries, and we will no doubt benefit greatly from its local knowledge and expertise. Duradrain is a CKD innovation and solution for the future. The high recycled content means that for every product we make, we take waste, and the historical risk that represents, away from the natural environment. We would like to thank the Hauraton Team who have helped us reach this landmark agreement, not least Tim, Oliver & Rüdiger.”
