Anthesis Group, the world’s largest group of dedicated sustainability professionals, has appointed former Managing Director of Netherlands Water Partnership, Bianca Nijhof, as Associate Director, Water and Biodiversity. This senior hire expands and complements the established expertise within Anthesis while addressing market demand internationally to identify and mitigate biodiversity impacts and water.
Based in the Netherlands, Bianca brings to Anthesis more than 20 years of sustainability expertise with a focus on water, natural capital, SDGs, and Environmental Social Governance (ESG). Bianca previously held the role of Managing Director at Netherlands Water Partnership, a network of around 180 internationally-oriented Dutch organisations working in the water sector. Prior to that, Bianca was a founding member of the sustainability team at global design and engineering consultancy, Arcadis.
With an extensive international network across business, governmental organisations, and NGOs, Bianca is an active participant in several recognised associations and foundations, including a Member of the Advisory Panel of the Capitals Coalition, a Member of Strategic Council of the International Water Association, and the Co-Chair of Workplace Pride Foundation.
Bianca’s appointment builds upon Anthesis’ global ambition to support clients to sustainably eliminate 3Gt (gigatonnes) of CO2e (greenhouse gases) – equivalent to more than half the United States’ annual emissions – by 2030, as nature-based solutions can provide up to 37% of the carbon emission reductions needed by 2030.
